What personal information does TfNSW collect?
By applying to use this Portal you will provide personal information, including your name, email address, and details about your position and employer. Over time as you use this portal we will gather records of site access and the training courses you’ve attempted / completed.
There is no requirement for you to provide your personal information. However, if you do not provide the personal information requested then TfNSW will not be able to track your completion of mandatory training that may be relevant to your work with TfNSW as an agency representative (who makes regulatory decisions on behalf of TfNSW).
How does TfNSW use your personal information?
TfNSW collect your personal information to administer and manage mandatory training.
In administering and managing mandatory training TfNSW may use your personal information to:
- Create a user account for training site access
- Monitor attempts and completion of training modules
- Email you notifications about training you have completed that has expired, or training that will Contact you to gather feedback about your learning experience.
Who receives your personal information?
TfNSW staff who administer and manage the mandatory training will use your personal information to facilitate your training completion.
TfNSW may engage vendors to assist in administering and managing this portal. Each vendor is required to comply with the PPIP Act as if it was TfNSW.
Vendors of TfNSW will only use your personal information to provide the service the agency is paying them to provide – this is a use of your personal information. The vendors are not permitted to use your personal information for any other purpose.
Who does TfNSW disclose your personal information?
To administer and manage completion of mandatory training TfNSW may disclose your personal information to third parties in limited circumstances:
- Your personal details and records of training courses completed are disclosed to the company you are engaged by for the purpose of ensuring you have met all requirements to undertake work.
TfNSW may also disclose aggregated and de-identified information for the purposes of transport policy and planning purposes, transport public funding, and reporting and analysis of overall completion rates and uptake of mandatory training.
Otherwise, TfNSW will not disclose your personal information without your consent or unless permitted or required to by law.
How can you access and alter your personal information?
You may access any personal information that TfNSW have collected about you. You may also have your personal information corrected if you can establish it is not accurate, complete or up-to-date.
If you wish to access, correct or remove your personal information held by TfNSW, and you cannot manually update the information, through this portal, then please email dld.ser@transport.nsw.gov.au
